Making his name through non-grid instrumentals and serious basslines, Glauber Barreto can recycle his own sound between on EP to another in a wide range of stylistic sounds. Time Left is the new work of his moniker, Cybass, a set of sounds he brings to life "without much thought".
Continuing to Hop It, his last release at Beatwise with the siege more tied to glitch-hop and boombap, this EP appears as the ultimate strike from him to new sounds - whether be in space tones of Continuum, or the mezzo dancehall jungle Champion Sound, Hanzo's cutting samples or Loose Tooth cadence.
Here, his characteristics appears more evident - not anymore as an aesthetic, but as a school - the care on synthesis, perforations and basslines given a post-apocalyptic tone, as a cycle coming to an end - thus initiating another.
